Packs of the tawhid: The book of Tawhîd (The Oneness of Allah) - Kitâb At-Tawhîd + The commentary of the book Explanation of the word of Oneness
This present work, entitled the "Book of Tawhîd" (Kitâb At-Tawhîd), is the work of the revivifier emeritus, Sheikh Muhammad Ibn 'Abdi-l-Wahhâb Ibn Sulaymân Âl Muchrif At-Tamîmî (may Allah have mercy on him ).
At the time of the author, the Arabian Peninsula saw the appearance of many polytheistic practices. Muslims of that time worshiped saints, tombs and trees, giving free rein to their misguided opinions, which diverted them from the path of Allah and His Messenger. Confusion was therefore widespread and superstitious beliefs took the place of true faith.
Faced with this situation, Muhammad Ibn 'Abdi-l-Wahhâb set himself the task of restoring the path of truth and reviving the original Islam as transmitted by the Prophet and the first generations of Muslims after him. He therefore elaborated, among other things, this writing in order to thwart these various idolatrous practices on the one hand, and to strengthen the word of Oneness (Tawhîd) in the hearts of another.
This book therefore deals with divine Oneness, which is the fundamental principle of Islam, the very meaning of the attestation of faith "There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah". This principle consists in devoting to Allah a sincere and exclusive worship by rejecting any form of polytheism (shirk).
Polytheism, which is the opposite of Oneness, and which consists in giving Allah a partner in one's worship, also appears in different forms: major and minor from the point of view of its gravity, apparent and subtle from the point of view of of his appearance. All this is exposed in this book, which is by far, one of the best works having dealt with this subject.
